Beijing : Great Wall of China
Spent 5 days in Beijing, 1 day in Tianjing before coming back to Shanghai. Thereafter taking a train to Suzhou for a Christmas party function. I am back in Shanghai typing my blog for the night and guess what. Tomorrow afternoon I be taking the flight back to Singapore, ending my half a year stay here in Shanghai.
Many thoughts, many dreams, many things. Life is precious, live to see more. I will miss my friends and all here, my teachers, colleagues and people i got to know and familiarize with. Also looking forward to see all my good pals back in Singapore.
Overflowed with emotions and thoughts, just check out my latest pics: :P

To put it across sweetly, this whole ride was great and its true that there's alot more to see, learn and appreciate. THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
I'll see you guys back in Singapore! CHEERS!
| This will be one of my final blog entries in Shanghai.
In a flash, about half a year has gone by and we have held our GIP appreciation dinner at the Ambassy club yesterday. You can see the enthusiasm in each of us, as we prepared our items for this event and put on our best on the actual day.
We have had much joy and fun, in the 3 seasons spent here, summer, autumn and winter in Shanghai.
Experiences plentiful and it was wonderful to get to know my colleagues, GIP mates, teachers and the many Shanghainese friends.
May the best be with all, and let us appreciate some pictures from yesterday:
Me making my entry in this naruto overall and our theme for the night - Wild Shanghai!

Some of the supervisors and also our pics with the professsors in Jiaotong University.
The 5 girls of Room 701

The few of us, my roommate in blue, myself in green. Singing Emil Chow's FRIENDS..
The 6 guys of 901. The CHEN family as all of us share the same surname.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE TIME AND EXPERIENCES. FRIENDS FOREVER.

| Its been a long time since i updated my blog. Been busy with work, school and reports etc. Here's something worth mentioning - I took part in the Shanghai International Marathon last Saturday and check ouy my pics!

Photo near the starting line
Near peace hotel
My name on the running booklet, one of the 3 singaporean males in the half marathon. A total of 11 took part, male and female. Talk abt national pride..
The free pair of shoes for completion under 2.5hrs. I was actually afraid that I couldnt meet the time for fear of a new route and under a colder climate.
Well. I made it! 1hr 33mins. Not the best timing that I have but acceptable after such a long period of no proper trainning. Haha.
The experience I've had in this run was enriching and I saw an old man, abt 70years old, bare footed and holding a flag run past me at 5km point and at a much faster speed than me. WOW! And the kids who overtook me at the 18km. And tag no. 2668, whom I took 5km to overtake. And the female japanese olympic champion who came for the race actually looks quite cute..haha.
Well, 1 more week before my work ends and school ends. I be off to Beijing and Tianjing for my final tour before flying back to Singapore from Shanghai. Will miss life here and I also miss the experiences and friendship I have here. Dilemna man! I miss Singapore too, friends, families, food..haha! Well, Enjoy the present, that is important. See you around on my next entry!!
| 3rd Day - Exploring glaciers and beyond..

Trekking to the glaciers. The weather was beyond me, the bitter cold could only be smothered by sticks and sticks of YANG ROU CHUAN!! haha. Some pics of the dense vegetation on the way to the glaciers' site.

Ice. Here's the dog which threatened to bite me if I dared to touch it.He's freaked out by the bitter cold and is trembling on the journey up. Glaciers are a sight to behold.

The journey back has to be coupled with a nice warm bowl of mutton soup to make it fulfilling.

Did i mention the BITTER COLD?!?! haha, just look at me all cuddled up and u should know better than to explore glaciers with just a thin jacket like mine..Finally, on the return journey, dropping by a tibetan style shop.
Final comments: This trip was one filled with many sights that I never behold before. From last Huangshan and Zhouzhuang experiences, there's still alot in this world that remains an unknown to me. To be able to see more, learn more is what makes life much more interesting aint it!
